I don't know if anyone will even read this blog, since I've been home for 3 weeks already and am seeing most of the people who follow it, but I wanted to do a closing blog for the last year that I spent in Honduras. And even more so, I want to give glory to God for his faithfulness to me throughout the year, even when I wasn't as faithful to Him. He certainly did supply my every need. I am thankful that he called me to live and work at the Finca for a year, it was a growing experience in various ways.

So, here are some photo highlights of the past year. It is by no means all-inclusive!

Opening the library for the kids to read and play games

Having girls stop by and hang out at my house at any given time

Teaching English to the kids

Friday nights at my house

Doing dramas for the kids

Doing special activities with "my girls"

Interacting with the other missionaries who serve at the Finca

Spending time with the kids
Thank you so much for supporting me while I was at the Finca. Please continue to pray for the kids there! God bless you!
Peace!

Landing in the States

The last few days in Honduras were super busy.
The girls from house three had a pinata in their room...so they told me that we could break it during our last celebration on Monday after devotions....I just had to buy all the candy. ;-) I broke down pretty easily and bought candy to fill it up. It was alot of fun.
There was another reason to celebrate on Monday night. We had devotions together, and then I asked the girls if there was anyone who hadn't accepted Christ yet, and wanted to make that decision. There was one little girl who said she hadn't accepted Jesus, and that she wanted to do that...so we prayed and welcomed her in the family of God! Praise Jesus!

The following picture is the beautiful thing I saw in the airport in Houston, Texas. Imagine...cold, free, purified water for the taking...it was lovely. (People who passed by must of thought I was crazy taking pictures of the water fountain...welcome to culture re-shock.)
So, now I am at home here in the States...thanks for following my blog and what I've been doing in Honduras...I hope to do another blog or two yet!
peace.
